CIM offers the service of analysis of bud fertility in cherry trees and other species, wherethe number of flower buds per fruit center, number of flower buds per bud and the number of flower buds per fruit center is obtained .

In addition, the percentage of buds with open bracts is given and the damage caused by frost or other climatic events is quantified.  This information is commonly used by producers to determine the intensity of winter pruning (pruning adjustment) and early estimates of production.

Modern agriculture requires quantifiable information for decision making.  One source of information is the quantification of the floral supply of the orchards , which can be obtained through the analysis of the fertility of the buds .
